A Global Documentary Series

Guardians of Nature is a cinematic documentary series about people choosing to restore nature and build a regenerative future.

LOGLINE

Our oceans and coastal ecosystems are under increasing pressure from climate change, plastic pollution, declining coral reefs, disappearing mangroves, and growing sargassum blooms threatening the entire ecosystem in many bio regions, communities, and economies that depend on them.

The journey begins in Mexico’s Riviera Maya, one of the world’s most biodiverse coastal regions, where these interconnected challenges are already reshaping the coastline, disrupting local communities, and affecting tourism.

Here, we meet the people choosing to act: scientists, entrepreneurs, Indigenous leaders, innovators, and community members developing regenerative solutions to restore ecosystems, transform waste, create livelihoods, and build the blue economy of tomorrow.

The Riviera Maya is the first chapter of a larger journey that will take us to threatened coastlines around the world, revealing how different communities are confronting similar challenges and creating new possibilities for the future. At its heart, this film is about determination, perseverance, empowerment, and the choice to act.

TEASER

APPROACH

STORYTELLING

The visual language is cinematic, intimate and natural. We combine expansive landscapes with close details of people, soil, plants, water and wildlife. Natural light, earthy colours and atmospheric conditions create an authentic sense of place.

VISUAL

CAMERA+LENS

The imagery follows a journey from damage to regeneration. We begin by understanding the landscape and its challenges, then move closer to the people working to restore it, ending with images that communicate renewal, connection and hope.

PACKAGE

VISUAL LANGUAGE

A cinematic camera setup combining wide environmental lenses (24/35mm) with 50/85mm portrait lenses for intimacy. A 70–200mm will allow us to observe wildlife and people from a respectful distance. Handheld, tripod and controlled movement will be used according to the scene.

APPROACH

The series is character-driven and observational. We experience each story through the people doing the work—following their daily lives, challenges and relationship with nature. Interviews provide context, while real moments and actions carry the emotional story.
